OUR PROGRAMS

 

Our Program perfectly blends our knowledge and expertise of sports and academics called GymAdemics! Children will be educated in the foundations, skills, and rules of all age-appropriate sports. Teamwork is a big focus in every class. While actively engaging them in the athletic activity, students are simultaneously challenged academically . Differentiated instruction is developed after the "FIRST CLASS!" 



GymAdemics will perform a entrance exam with the assistance of the classroom teachers. From there, we create a plan of differentiated instruction for each student.

 

 Students will play within a friendly and learning environment. Our many years as educators and coaches, we build the optimum classroom setting.

A sample lesson of a Pre-K class:

 

Gym-Objective: All students will learn trapping, passing, and kicking a soccer ball.

Academic-Objective: All students will be able to recognize various shapes, colors, letters, and numbers.

During this particular lesson we had the children alternate feet while trapping the ball and count from 1-20 and perform the alphabet.

During class: Students will be passing, trapping and shooting the ball around the room. Throughout the class, instructors will hold a variety of cards up and ask the children to use all skillsets to bring the ball to that instructor. 

Differentiated Instruction: For higher level students who recognize the cards quickly; those students will have to recognize higher numbers while the instructor is moving.Those already advanced in alphabet recognition will be asked to name sight words or sounds of a letter, depending on their academic assessment.

 

Goal: Early exposure to these academics along with introducing athletic skills will improve both areas from an early age.
